The book looks great, and the inDesign to XML to microformats is a very cool workflow, which would be fantastic if every food writer used (the possibilities seem endless).

I've always failed to get excited by microformats, but applied to food and it suddenly seems very interesting (that'll be my stomach talking/thinking/coding)

Thanks for opening my eyes to this. :-)

[...] The notion of me contributing to a cookery book might be regarded with a certain amount of mirth by my friends and family — but it’s true: I’m right there in the acknowledgements for the pseudonymous George Harvey Bone’s new book Cooking with Booze*. It’s a marvellous book, accompanied by a best-in-class website created by the author, which includes the entire text of the book, a blog with videos of some of the recipes in progress and, for the geeks among us, a behind the scenes look at the making of the book and website.
Great post! I am digging around for some of the better formats out there. I will be playing off of your example, and will make sure to include you in the discussion.

from your booktwo blog:
> the kind of thing, incidentally, which would be
> simple in a true ebook, but only possible now
> through this kind of split-personality marketing

so let's talk about this.

and, more generally, the tech you used
in the writing and creation of this book...

i'm too busy this week, but maybe next?

perhaps we could talk on this blog?
or maybe you could carve out a wiki?
(blog comment-boxes are so stifling.)
