Whisky Steak
Nothing better than a hearty steak to warm the cockles, so the addition of a good shot of whisky makes it all the better. This recipe is for one—vary the quantities according to how hungry you are.
- sirloin steak
- 25g (1 oz) butter
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 125g (5 oz) double cream
- salt and pepper
- 5 tbsp whisky
- Heat the butter in a pan, cut the beef into thin strips and cook it with the onion for 5-10 minutes, until brown and to your taste. Pour the whisky over it, and stir in the cream. Allow the sauce to reduce a little before serving.
